A Note From the CEO
As we move into 2021, I want to take this opportunity to review what the Covid-19 Pandemic means to all of us at Advanced Assembly serving the PCB Fab and Assembly industry. It seems like the right time.
The 2020 pandemic required me to re-evaluate what is most important – both professionally and personally. For Advanced Assembly, (AAPCB.com), the economic fallout reinforced for me that our core business values of Quality, Speed, and Excellence in Service…our consistent strategic values for over 16 years, even during these tough times…it reinforced That They Work!
Throughout 2020, following the definition of Quality and continuous improvement, we have continued to invest in technology, processes, and people to reduce our turn-times and fortify our quality (AS9100 D certification, for example). But we have never strayed from our commitment to serving the Quick-Turn, PCB assembly needs of all design engineers in all industries. It is what we do, it is our specialty.
Also, and with the intent to be completely clear and transparent, our name and location is “similar” to another PCB fab shop also in Colorado. I think that confuses some customers, and that is too bad because we are COMPLETELY different companies. Advanced Assembly is an independent PCB assembly business, and not owned, affiliated, or under co-management with any other assembly shop. I started this business 16 years ago as an entrepreneurial experiment to service the very specific need for Quick-Turn, machine placed components by customers in a market that craved such a business model. We are the original leader in this market and unique in every way.
Our explosive growth did require the purchase of our own PCB fab shop in 2008 to make sure we can always provide the fastest turn-times possible. It is set up exactly like our assembly services to provide fast, flexible, and high-quality board fabrication. This business has also continually invested and improved through the pandemic.
I could not be prouder of this company and our path to success. What started as a one-man shop has grown to become the most trusted leader for PCB assembly across the country. Through this pandemic and the recession of 2008, we have believed in flexibility and working with customers whether they want assembly-only services, full turn-key, or something in between. We have not acquired failing companies or accepted venture capitalist money. We are self-made. We continue to hire the very best people and providing an outstanding experience from top to bottom every, single day.
The electronics industry, and especially the prototype / NPI market, is poised for significant growth in the coming years. Companies committed to overall excellence, like Advanced Assembly, will be a partner to PCB designers every step of the way. Together our incredible successes will be limited only by the speed of our imaginations.
We look forward to earning your business now and well into the future.
Sincerely,
Lawrence Davis
