Advanced Assembly to Speak at PCB West 2021

Event attendees can learn how the Flexible Footprint design technique can add redundancy to bill-of-materials for hard-to-find parts.

Aurora, CO (September 28, 2021) – Advanced Assembly, the pioneers of the quick-turn PCB fabrication and assembly services, today announced that Shane Shuffield, Sebastian Weber, and Mark Hughes, will be jointly hosting a free session at PCB West 2021 entitled, “PCB Part Shortage Solutions.”

This session will help design engineers survive the current part shortage with two solutions. First, Advanced Assembly’s Research & Development team, in partnership with electronics engineering customers, has developed and tested a flexible footprint, stepped land pattern to use on your next design. This unique design technique permits multiple imperial parts sizes to fill the same board space.

Additionally, the team will discuss tips and tricks for ensuring PCB orders get out on time with a minimum of overage and wasted product. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the problems assemblers solve every day. The knowledge gained will allow them to save money and time with their next project.
